Twitch's World of Warcraft: Forever launch is set for 3:00 p.m. PST on November 4, 2026, which is 5:00 p.m. CT on the publication clock. In the same announcement, Twitch says it is adding Stream Recaps to category pages, with World of Warcraft first in line and every other category coming later this week. Read Twitch’s announcement.
Twitch says the new Stream Recaps shelf will appear on category pages on the Twitch website, pinned above the live channels. The idea is to let viewers catch up on recent stream moments without watching an entire broadcast.
A Stream Recap is a short highlight reel built from clips created by the streamer, the streamer’s editors, and viewers. On the World of Warcraft: Forever category page, that means short clips from recent streams can surface alongside the live channel list, giving new visitors a fast way to see the biggest moments.
Twitch says the Recap is built automatically from a stream’s clips, but creators can customize it after the stream. The process in the post is straightforward: open Stream Summary, choose the moments viewers should see, include viewer clips if they fit, and save the updated version. Once saved, that edited Recap is what appears on the category page.
For streamers covering launch day, that makes clip selection part of the post-stream workflow. If you want a stronger first impression in category browse, it helps to review your best moments soon after you go offline and choose clips that reflect the stream you want new viewers to associate with your channel.
The same announcement says Twitch is rolling out a new WoW: Forever Armory Twitch Extension. According to Twitch, it shows a streamer’s abilities, build, and equipment directly on the channel, and creators can add it from the Creator Dashboard before their next stream.
Twitch also says viewers can unlock limited-time Horde and Alliance chat badges by subscribing or gifting a sub to a World of Warcraft streamer. The badges are tied to that support action in the announcement, so the reward applies when a viewer subscribes or gifts a subscription.
The confirmed rollout is World of Warcraft first, with Stream Recaps expanding to the rest of Twitch later this week. Twitch does not give a precise time for the broader category rollout, so the only hard date in the post is the November 4 launch tied to World of Warcraft: Forever.
For streamers, the practical takeaway is clear: if you are going live around the launch, clip curation and the new Armory setup are worth handling before or immediately after stream so your category presence is ready when viewers start browsing.
